If you live in New Zealand you may have noticed that the mornings are getting colder.
Winter is here!
The children of Room 8 decided to write some stories about how cold it is when they wake up in the morning.

Brooklyn Enjoys Visiting Mt Wellington

On Thursday Team 2 went to visit Mt Wellington. Mt Wellington was enormous. We got on a bus to ride there. We had to cross the road then we had morning tea. After morning tea we went to see the crater, the crater was big. We saw volcanic rocks. We saw big rocks and small rocks. After the crater we drew what we could see. After drawing we saw Rangitoto and One Tree Hill then we had one more thing from our lunch box. Then we went back to school. When we got back to school we had lunch, then we went to play.

Toma's Crater Has Lots of Rocks

The bus arrived. When we went Mt Wellington on the bus we saw Rangitoto. When we all looked out we saw lots of volcanoes and we saw a very big crater it had lots of rocks in the crater.
